How does Mama TENS work?
Mama TENS works by stimulating your bodies own natural defenses against pain. The Mama Tens unit transmits gentle electrical impulses through your skin via four self-adhesive pads, positioned on your back.
These gentle impulses attack pain in two ways:
• By stimulating the release of endorphins, the bodies own pain relieving hormones.
• Also by stimulating the nerves to block pain signals before they reach the brain.
• Mama Tens is unlike the common Tens machine as it has been specially designed
for use during labour. The stimulation programs have been pre-set so that you
don't have to fiddle around with the controls. Mama tens will take you right
through labour from the first contractions to the birth of your baby!!

FAQ’S FOR HIRING YOUR MAMA TENS UNIT
How long does delivery of my Mama Tens take?
A: Mama Tens hire units are only available to Australian Residents and is through Australia Post or a reputable courier, which takes from 1-6 working days to arrive at your door!
When must the Mama Tens be ordered by?
A: You must order your Mama Tens Hire unit no later than three weeks prior to your due date unless discussed with a representative of Pink or Blue.
How much does the Mama Tens Rental Unit cost to hire?
A: Your payment of only $65.00 is for the rental of the unit for 4 weeks. If your baby has not been born, a week free hire can be organised. A deposit of $50.00 will also be charged and refunded upon return of the unit. A $15.00 deliver fee includes the return of the unit.
How do I order my Mama Tens Hire Unit?

How do I pay for my Mama Tens Hire Unit?
A: Payment may be made by credit card or direct deposit
Can I use a normal Tens Machine for my labour?
A: No. Mama Tens units have been specifically designed for use during labour. The Electrodes are much larger and the Programmes are all pre-set for the stages of labour the Mama Tens also has a “boost” button which ramps up the power during the pain of contractions.
Can I try the unit before going into labour?
A: Yes. The Mama Tens machine may be used from 37 weeks onwards for the relief of back pain associated with pregnancy.
Can Mama Tens be used with other methods of pain relief?
A: Yes you may use other methods of pain relief if you require it.
Can I use the Mama Tens at hospital?
A: Yes you can use the Mama Tens in hospital and most midwives will be more than happy to apply the unit for you.
What happens if my due date is less than 3 weeks away?
A: Contact us and we will arrange through next day post to get the Mama Tens to you as soon as possible. (next day post does not include weekends or public holidays)
